"My thesis research is focused on assessing the prevalence of social hybridogenesis among ants and more peculiarly in Stenammini tribe and Messor genus. Through museum collaboration and field sampling, the goal is to achieve non-destructive sequencing to analyze specimen heterozygosity. Phylogenetic and ecological aspects will be explored to determine what could cause the emergence and maintenance of such a reproductive strategy. Beyond that I'm really interested in ant's symbiotic networks."
